Frequently Asked Questions

What does the $10 AUD cover?
The $10 AUD session fee gives the host 10 hours of game time on a private, dedicated server. It covers hosting, video/audio streaming, and all game features. No subscriptions — pay once per game night.
Do players need to pay?
No. Only the host pays. Players join for free using the invite link the host shares — no payment, no account, no sign-up needed.
How many players can join?
Up to 10 players can sit at the table. Additional people can watch as spectators.
What happens when the 10 hours run out?
You'll get a warning at 1 hour remaining and a countdown at 5 minutes. When time's up, the current hand finishes, then the game pauses. The host can extend for $5 AUD per 5 hours, or end the game. If no action is taken, the game ends automatically after 15 minutes.
Is real money involved in the poker game?
No. Would You Hold'em is play money only. The chips have no cash value. The session fee is a platform access fee for the software only — it is not a wager, entry fee, or rake.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Everything runs in your web browser — desktop or mobile. No apps, no plugins, no downloads.
How does the invite link work?
When you host a game, you get a unique encrypted invite link. Share it with your friends via text, email, or group chat. They click it, enter their name, and they're in. No game codes to type.
Is video/audio chat included?
Yes. Built-in video and audio chat is included at no extra cost. Each player can toggle their camera and microphone on or off.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. All major credit and debit cards are accepted, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported.
Can I get a refund?
Session fees are non-refundable once the game server has been activated. If a technical fault on our end prevents you from playing, contact us and we'll sort it out. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
